The water and wind ripped a hole in the side of the house, but clothing remained on the hangers. Of course someone could have placed them there post-storm, but a strange site nonetheless.
It sounds extremely cliche, but these pictures don't even start to show the conditon of the 9th Ward in New Orleans, one year after Katrina. More to be posted later today & tonight.
During our tour of the island, we found the north west and northern part of the island to be a lot more lush and green, as opposed to where we staying that was kind of scrubby and rocky.
I think if we ever make the trip back, we might stay closer to this area, near a place called Holetown.
